Frankly I\'m a bit surprised by the issues. I think Trov\'s pieces are excellent in their own right and what\'s the big deal about borrowing ideas? Everybody does it more or less! It would become riddiculous if every time someone posted a mini there would be a long list with the supposed \'creators\' of every single technique or idea that\'s been used. Or is it only some ideas that needs to be aknowledged all the time?

I got in an argument several years ago with some prick complaining that I didn\'t pick approved color schemes for some of my figs. As if creativity needs to be officialy sanctioned. I felt so angry that I actually looked for him at a couple of GDs so I can drag him outside and beat him within inches of his life-\"J and Silent Bob strike back!\" style,luckily for me he didn\'t show and I realized how stupid the whole thing was.
There are some people out there that have nothing else but this hobby and their ego hinges on their ability to paint.

I must say that I had some more conversations by now and it seems like there were some...I don\'t know: missunderstandings?
Basically I thought the main issue (judging from the coments on CMON) was that I was \"too much inspired by Kaple and Cyril\" but it seems that the main problem was with the quality of the paintjob and that it actually was judged on second place.
first: I totally agree that the mini is not on par with the french stuff you see here and that the mini has its weakneses and YES there\'s actually primer showing in one place which I saw again TODAY and must have forgotten to repaint when...well bad and more important things than miniature painting happened to close friends of mine...but that\'s a different story.
second: is it my fault that they still voted the mini on second place? why giving ME a hard time and not them, I\'m sory, yes I am in a bad condition atm. and take most of the stuff personally, which leads me to
third: there was NO feedback (Brother Sinaer tried, but was probably \"only told by someone else\" or read in the creafig forums - i think and therefore didnt sound fair either, I am sorry...), as it seems the coments was actually meant as like someone else told me in a PM in another forum. \"it\'s a pitty...not understanding critisiscm\". REALLY, I\'d LOVE to get constructive critisiscm. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE!!! give it to me, I KNOW that I need to get better (never claimed I was the uber painter I just enjoy it loads...) but basically all I got was \"no mentioning of KAple\", \"no mentioning of Cyril\" but no direct word about the technique, unfinished looking parts or the like. and yes, there were 2 mails in my inbox of my email account wishing me the pest. those mails were deleted after i\'ve read the first few lines, sorry i was too devastaded to keep them I didnt think I\'d have to prove it, believe me or not...
that\'s about all I can think about now, I have to get up again in 5 hours, getting ready for bed...

I wouldn\'t worry too much about that. They are indeed some french painters who believe that they are allowed to formulat such critiscim because they are french, and because a lot of the world\'s most talented painters at the moment are french. Funy thing is they are usually the one who don\'t have the talent of cyril and the likes. They already showed their stupidity with one of klut\'s minis. So I\'ll just sugest that you ignore them. From what I\'v seen you\'v got some really great french painter, and non french painters too; who like what you do. And they at least are sincere.
