ok... well, the saw got me RIGHT across the knuckle and took out ALL of the cartilage... so no more knuckle there.

First Pick is a artsy of me with the space-ish planet fade (done with the camera, not PSlol);

Second pic shows where i can and can\'t bend the finger now, and a little different view of it;

Sorry it\'s shiny, i have to keep it under a layer of ointment (zinc something???). All in all, it\'s looking good. This happened the first, so it\'s been just over three weeks. Pins are still in, only the stitches have come out. 11 on the outside plus however are on the tendons (lost count myself... darn that valum\'s good stuff!). But the tendon stitches don\'t come out, just disolve in my body when they\'re not needed anymore. Umm... that\'s about it. Any questions just ask.

your skin is a funny texture, was it in a bandage just before the picture?

yup, that\'s the none stick texture impressed into my finger because if i don\'t have the bandage like a turnekit it\'ll bleed all day. i guess under the bandage it gets warmer and when the heat goes up it starts to bleed? No a doctor, but that\'s the bleeding finger for dumbies breakdown the doc gave me.

o0ps... sorry guys. Thought everybody pretty much knew about it, just hadn\'t seen pictures.

As for what happened... Was on the saw, just like any other day at work. Workpiece catches and gets thrown from the saw, smacks my hand, throws pinkie into the saw. Pinkie gets cut through skin, extender tendon, bone, flexure tendon... hanging on by a piece of skin a blood vessle and the nerve. So it\'s flopping over and everything. Went to ER in town, they stitched me up and sent me to the OR an hour away. They put me back together and now is all good in the hood:D.

Gross. I\'d probably faint if it was me. Itchy: did they put leeches on it? I hear that\'s good for amputation-reattachments, lots of good natural anticoagulants and keeps the blood flowing.

quick someone get minimaker or someone else to sculpt a replica out of green stuff.

add it to the sculpting project and then get it painted to look like the image and in the end send it to Itchy as a pimento of the event. lol

(j/k and that is gross. :|~ )

Actually my aversion is rather odd, it seems to have something largely to do with if it could happen to me. I can watch horror films with loads of gore without a problem, but as soon as I see an operation on TV I get queasy then faint (oddly Itchys description of it being stitched back was more queasy making than the actual image).

I first found out about it in A-level biology where we got to watch some open heart surgery, I lasted 5 minutes before fainting (whcih is annoying becasue I find it fascinating). I also do it if I cut myself badly and there is lots of blood, I think its a shock thing though, because I was fine when my girlfriend sliced her foot open...

This is why I couldn\'t be a doctor

me \"So what seems to be the probl... OH MY GOD! STOP BLEEDING EVERYWHERE I\"LL...\"

thud...

Patient \"Doctor?\"

lol

Does this mean your finger won\'t bend there anymore?

My dad was a printer many years back. Most of the old-timers in his business were shy a few fingers. My dad was once a second away from losing both hands. There\'s a lot of dangerous jobs out there.
