Cake or Pie?

There are two types of people in the world. Those who prefer cake and those who prefer pie. :drunk:

I\'m a pie man myself. Basic room temperature Apple Pie with vanilla ice cream can\'t be beat. That being said I\'m rather fond of Strawberry Rhubarb, Blueberry, Peach, and Sugar Pie as well. OK, I\'ll eat just about any kind of pie if the crust is right and it comes a-la-mode.

Of course then comes the non-desert pies such as Tortiere, Turkey Pot Pie, and Steak and Kidney Pie. But those are outside the intended bounds of the post.

Finally, yes it\'s true, I wanted my own silly poll. :drunk:

i once had a german exchange student whod never eaten an apple pie... he really liked it though. i like pie. never been a big fan of cake, sorry

Yes, seriously. I am not even entirely sure what the defining factors of a pie are. I\'m pretty sure it\'s a filled pastry, but that\'s about it.

I can bake a mean cake though. Literally.

Afterthought: You know what I really want to try some time? A banana cream pie. Of course I would need two, one for eating, one for throwing.

This could cause problems with different countries definitions of pie ...

As with the American/British differences with

Biscuits/Cookies

Crisps/Chips

etc etc

Personally I\'d be hard pushed to make a definite decision...

And cheesecake is not a cake. : ) It\'s a custard-esque substance with more in common with pie, so we get to claim that one too. wmahahahahahahahaha mmmmmm cheese cake... especially my aunt\'s Khalua cheese cake with chocolate ganache drizzled on top. MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM
