Camera question.....

Well this is my first post so please go easy...I currently have a Canon Power Shot A75 i have been trying to take pics of my minis but i wont work...Now i have the book but what do i need to look for to enable my camera to take pics of my figures ?? heres the info i have..

10x zoom
Dig!c (???)
3.2 mega pixels

i can find my booklet atm but i wanted to have some idea of what i am looking for..Thanks for the help..

I have an A80, and I usually use the macro function (it\'s a button that looks like a flower) and no zoom and no flash.
Also, try looking in the articles section for tutorials on how to take pictures.
Hope this helps.

better pic then I can get and I use the macro and a cheap photo booth

May I suggest that you use a white paper, or faded blue/white, as photo background, and use a bit more light when taking the pics. Right now it\'s a little dark to really see all the details of the mini. Looking good so far though.

Thanks Torath :D i am gonna invest in a tripod and some daylight bulbs...Maybe it will help with the pics, they seem to dark for my liking...

It\'s getting better, but instead of having both lamps over the top, have only one and put the other one in front of the mini, just above your camera.
Then show us the results again :)

They are looking better, but it\'s at this point that Photoshop comes in handy :) Use the brightness/contrast or autolevels controls to get brighter and better pics.

Daylight bulbs also helps to get rid of that yellow light, but I think you already mentioned that you are going to buy that.

The full version of Photoshop is very dear, but \'Photoshop Elements\' can be purchased quite cheaply on eBay. It is a slightly cut down version,
but still more than most people need. Try doing a Google search for GIMP.
This is a freeware prog that does many of the same things.

another suggestion. I just had a look at the specs of your camera over here:
http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/specs/Canon/canon_a75.asp and you have five settings for white balance override as well as a manual setting (white sheet in front of the camera to let it set the white balance). Try making those photos with the different setting and play around to find the best white balance. For that I\'d also use a figure with more colours so it\'s easier to see if the colours are photographed right.
