Alpha Forge Games have just released the results of their \'Great Salvage Run\' painting competition. What follows comes from their forums:
Well done Vike! A well deserved win!Originally posted at Alpha Forge Games
MAIN CATEGORY - First place winner:
Jim \'Supervike\' Gilstrap.
Wins - Competition trophy, \'Gorgon\' recon fighter prototype and US$50.00 worth of AFG store credit.
Comments: \"Very impressive little conversion of the SAlvage Dog trailer\". \"V. nice painting style\".
SECONDARY CATEGORY winner -
This was a very difficult tie between \'Matakishi\'s Tea House\' and \'Ming\'s Wary Eye clan.\' After much deliberation, pontification and navel staring by the judges, the prize was awarded to Ming\'s \'Wary Eye clan\' for sheer novel appeal.
Comments:
Ming - \"Nice fluff\", \"very novel color scheme/ theme on the Hydrissians\", \"great painting\"
Matakishi - \"Interesting company fiction\", \"great painting\", \"love the demobots\".
So - Ming wins US$50.00 worth of AFG store credit along with the second \'Gorgon\' prototype model.
Taarnak\'s crew was also very well received, the individual painting and conversion was top notch stuff and easily enough to give supervike a run for his money in the main category. However we had to choose, and Taarnak was pipped to the post by the salvage dog conversion trailer from Supervike.
Comments - Taarnak - \" Love the salvage dog especially the dirty finish\", imaginative salvage crew (conversions)\"
This means that Matakishi and Taarnak (Ace and the Eights) sweep up the two honorary second prizes of US$25.00 store credit each.
So thats it!!
Thanks to all who entered. It has been ALOT of fun.
