Can I trouble a few of you for some vote help?

GreenOne

I paint my thumb.
Done. Really like the red hair on the first one. The blue looks a bit patchy and rough on the second one. Also a different angle, a bit from the top down, would help especially for the face one, as stuff like barrels dont look that good from the eye-to-eye perspective.

Votes don't come fast nowadays if they come at all, I got one that's been stuck at 20some for 4 days and I did plug it on the forums, oh, well.

Edit: Second comment pertains to your warjack, I got sidetracked lol

no you can't :)
but we'll vote anyway.

done.

edit: what DR wrote to the first one is true. The mini looks super, the freehand on the concrete is solid too (I think my favorite part of your painting), but the blotchy blue rim + the uneven wood really detracts from the overall result.
So repaint the rim (maybe rework the sides of the concrete/stone a bit) and get rid of that wood block and it will look much better (imho).

Thanks for the help guys.

GreenOne, thanks for the input. Next time I will throw in some different angle shots. And it's true about votes, it seems unless it's GD winning quality only a handful of people bother to vote. Just voted on your Beastman, btw.

Voted as well. I agree with Dragonsreach that the wood plinth is not doing you any favors. I like that librarian!

Thanks for the vote! That plinth was just to prop the model up, I've used it on a lot of my models that aren't on display bases just to add some separation from the backdrop. I can see how it's taking away from the model, however, so I think I'll just stop using it.

You could also paint it matte. I think because it's glossy with some texture you get a bunch of bright reflection that bring the focus down to the wood.
