hey Jeff

Let me tap into your wisdom for a minute. You know anything about pressure pots for resin casting? I was thinking about picking up an air compressor and a paint pot to cast a few things I\'ve got rattling around. Any advice?

Yup.. go to sears and buy a 2 gallon paint pressure pot used for painting houses..they cost about a 100.00.

Theres a in and out line on them and a siphon tube on the inside. Remove the siphon tube abd seal off that top hole..thats the exit hole ..I use a cap nut from a hard ware store. The only line open no is the one you hook up to your air compressor that puts pressure into the pot.

Give me a call and I can tell you a little more..If you want a bigger pot say 5-10 gallons I can give you a source for them by a company that sets them up for resin casters..but they are 500-1000. each

Good luck with the casting! I will be interested in that dwarf you showed the other day! Make sure you post here when it\'s available for sale! :)

Will do. Which actually leads me to another dilemma..... How to market and sell it..... SHould I just contact different internet stores or what?

:D

Usually we approach the manufacturer to see if we can carry the minis when we see a new mini line coming out. However, you can definately approach the online stores first. If the minis are good, they will be an asset to any store.

A website is recommended, especially if you expect to have a constant supply of new minis coming out. You would probably get the majority of your orders from individuals on your website since a store orders an initial number, then reorders only when the stock is near depletion. Sometimes, that can be in a few weeks or a few months.

Paypal is usually a fast way to handle orders, even from online stores. You can offer other payment options, but keeping it simple is less of a headache for you.

Let me know when you have the master casts and are in the process of having the minis cast. We like adding new lines to our selections.
