Can you describe Rackham style?

Our painting group challenge for June is to paint a Rackham mini in \'the spirit of Rackham style\'.

But I\'m interested in what you think is Rackham style?

I know what I think it is - but I\'d love to share your ideas with the rest of our group as a bit of inspiration and food for though in the month before we start painting this one.

something that springs straight to mind is nmm, last time i visited their site all the models had very good nmm.

As stated above : NMM; but I\'d also add :

*) corosion;
*) checker and swirly motifs;
*) elaborate bases or plain black bases (depends if they were pictured in Cry Havoc or on the cards ).

They usually have a clean style, lots of creamy and pastelly colours.
