Can you replace an image with a better photograph?

***EDIT*** Nevermind, I just found the answer to my question in the FAQ... DOH!


I have better photographs of one of my pieces that I would like to replace the original with. Is that possible?

And if not, that original hasn\'t gotten many votes yet, so can I just delete it and upload the better photos as a new item?

I\'ve looked high and low for either a replace image tool, or a delete item tool and can\'t find either.

Ok, well I submitted my begging request to change my photo to the administrators via the contact us form... but the form locked on a black screen after I hit submit, so I\'m not sure it made it through.

I\'m sorry if you\'ve already seen this request, the last time I sent it I got an error after hitting the send button, and I don\'t know if it got through.

I just signed up this weekend. The first mini image I uploaded was one that I now would like to replace. At the time I had uploaded it, I thought I should be able to swap photos myself, but now that I\'ve read the FAQ, I know that isn\'t the case.

Now I know, and I\'ll know better than to upload a photo I don\'t know for sure I like. But for this one case, could you please help me out by swapping the photo out for me?

I promise I\'ll never ask again.

The image that I want removed is: http://www.coolminiornot.com/224529 (with a single image of the mini)

The one I would like to replace it is this one with multiple points of view: http://www.coolminiornot.com/224590 (which I uploaded specifically to replace the one above if you can)

If your image is hosted on a site like photobucket it is possible.
You need to make a note of the exact image filename on photobucket and then delete it.
Upload your new image with the exact same file name.
Cmon will then retrieve your new image when it displays your entry.

It works for me

Not that I can ever be bothered with taking photos.

As a moderator I could do this, sometimes the thumbnail gets screwed up but it works. But honestly I don\'t really see the point for the simple reason that you don\'t have many votes/no comments on the first submission + I think you can get a better score with the new multiview. So just delete the first submission (or I could do it for you) and go with the second one! Thanks for uploading a multiview by the way.

I think you might not want to if the picture in question has a lot of votes. Good pictures would get a higher vote, so you\'d be hurting yourself if you changed late in the game. Just throwing in my opinion, of course.

Thanks Avelorn, I would be happy to just delete the old one... but I couldn\'t figure out how to do that either!

Since I couldn\'t figure out how to delete the old one, I figured, I might as well try to keep the few views I had.

If you can delete the old one (or tell me how to do it myself), that would be appreciated.

On the front page is a link to ADD/EDIT IMAGE
Click on it to take you to your image listings.
Each listing has a drop down box at the bottom allowing you to REMOVE IMAGE.

Bob\'s your uncle, job done.
