Yeah, looking really really nice. The weathering on the marine is great and so is the metal on the plasma pistol. One really small thing is I feel like the spacing on the shoulder skull is slightly off. Looks like there's a little more white space at the bottom than at the top. I might elongate that bottom section (right under the nose hole) slightly. Or, if you're feeling ambitious, add some teeth like on the other shoulder skull. Take a look and see what you think. Again, really nice job on this one!

Bailey thanks for picking that up I didnt even notice, (you can look so hard and not even notice) I think I will try for some teeth on the skull.
Demi good spoting I feel the same way so I will add some more highlights to the shoulders up to a tiny amount of pure white as well as the sawblade teeth to make them look a bit better.
Roru good call I added a few small scratches inbetween the other ones, not over board as sometimes less is more. didnt want to ruin the cracking effect.
hope to do some more work tonight and post it, almost done.

Pigments are drying as I took the pick, we will see how they look in the morning.

Yeah I vote for darker back ground as well. and maybe even darker than what you have. I ma not liking that light focus on the dark background.
Remember to try that Unsharp/mask filter in gimp!
I am interested to see where this one lands in the gallery scoring. I have my fingers crossed for you!

Thank you all for your help and banter I have really enjoyed painting this guy, I have learnt so much and a few eureka moments too
2bb is great to lay down your colours then glaze to finish. Demi Im pretty pleased with the shoulder trim Hope it meets your satisfaction.
Thanks for the colour selection of the BG too guys made it look way better. I will have to go prowl the net for one thats darker and with out the light patch.

Agreed. This guy is awesome. Can't really improve on it much. Stunningly beautiful. 8.5???
Im working on a Khorne Exalted Hero with cracks very similar. Mine doesn't have the chipping though, and it's more widespread, covering the whole mini. So, I should ask-with your cracks, did you just paint black lines, or is there something else going on that lends to it's 3 dimensional quality.
