One base of pointy-ness, perfect dead tree near our place for some dead bits.

Green slime water at the bottom is planned.

Base looks great Canny, like the way you've used three to tie in with the nurgle symbol. The green armour looks good, does it have a hint of turquoise in it ?

Yes Turquoise, livery green, emerald green, signal blue, same brown as axe and elf flesh, brown and red ink, and white. I just played until it looked good.

WOW! That base is so cool looking. WGS is right, I love how it ties into the Nurgle theme with the horns protruding out of the ground. You base making skills are epic dude.

Work on the base, I packed up all my painting stuff and went to my brothers tonight, we painted like mad men! Base is looking pretty neat. Just realised what colour the cloth of nurgle is going to be dirty white to tie in the base a little.

Dammit canny. You just through my jaw out of line again. That brown to white fade on your base is unbelievable. You use an airbrush to do that don't you.

only the 1st colour with AB (and Black/white primer), the rest with brush bud, its too small to get the transitions and over spray would be crazy, too much work masking if I did it that way. I blocked out the transition with 2BB stronger than a glaze, then smoothed it out with glazes of lots of lights and darks to get it looking good. Main advice is use your mid tone to cover all and soften the look then go over again and again until you feel its what you want.

For the lower areas its all wet blending off the colours on the base.

Oh hell yeah! That is what I was trying to pull off on the Trauma doc. A nice smooth gradient really dresses up the flat parts of a base. Nice edge highlighting too. Plenty there but not too much.
