It\'s a little difficult to tell from your pictures, but it doesn\'t look too shabby. I think it\'s great that you are taking risks and working in freehand designs as that\'s the only way to challenge yourself to get better.
On the tips side, I would tell you that it looks like your paint may be a bit thick. You should always paint in multiple coats rather than one thick coat. I apply my basecoats at a rate of at least 1:1 with water and sometimes add even more water than that. You don\'t want your paint adding texture of any kind unless that was your goal.
That\'s about all I can share by looking at your picture, but keep practicing and posting. There are lots of people willing to help here.

The pix are kinda wonky but it looks like the paint job is good. You need to straighten out the ax handle.

basically whats been said, thin your paints a little more to build up the colours in a smoother, more controlled fashion. and importantly, straighten out that axe!!!!
