I reckon if Rev\'s involved, it\'s going to be more like..... \'Cardiff-sitting-in-the-pub-talking-about-anything-except-minis-team\' lol :D

No there is actually three of us if you include my infrequent time at home.

I still think the major problem will be getting Rev out of the boozer though :)

Hey I\'m a welshman too.

What do you have to do in this team?Do we have too speed paint figures against other teams?

If we do I\'m screwed.........couldn\'t afford the titmus 3000 paintbrush.

Mine\'s more like Ron Weasley\'s

Talion, I included you in a list on Painters Gathering, another thread on the forum. Except I said \'there\'s a bloke in Pontyclun\' lol

If I\'m right, we\'d all have a miniature, paint it up to completion (or most of the way), meet up in a house somewhere and then finish them off, chat, eat sarnies and then make our way to the pub!

War Griffon, it\'s been a long time :D

I know Marbo is another fella from our neck of the woods, and there may be one other young fella if I recall.

I\'ll be up for it as long as we carry it off with panache and manage to look cool lol

And as long as the pub is the final destination (Beelzebrush was right :D)

Probably too long Rev and a crap trip at that :) Remind me not to work with NATO again if I ever have a say in the matter they couldn\'t even organise a BBQ let alone a trip to the pub :)

Back on topic when is this isea going to be put into practice???

Someone mention a pub?

First poster

Not in Cardiff anymore but Newport. Have to be honourary Welshman though - English I\'m afraid, but been here 12 years.

A gathering sounds good though.

Any of you in local clubs - Go to Penarth one as do historical as well. What are the others like?

Welcome to the forums Stewart, I am origonally from Newport myself :)

I don\'t belong to any of the clubs anymore I got tied down in the lack of time on weekends type rule and I am elsewhere during the week so it kind of made it difficult.

The Penarth club is a friendly group on the Saturday meetings not been there during the week though I think other than that you will be hard pushed to find another club for some reason Newport and Cardiff don\'t seem to be able to hold them for very long. I have seen them come and go over the years :)

I should also count as an honorary welshman since I went to school in Monmouth for years, though I lived just on the other side of the border, in Ross-on-Wye.

Thanks for reply WG - I can post easy now as not at work. Sounds like you go up to Taff\'s Well then. I usually do the Thursday slot. Off to Bovington on 1/2nd July and Attack at Devizes week after - need some more stock.

The only other club I\'ve heard of is \'The Infamous Viet Taff\' - http://www.cardiff-wargames.org/

They meet on Thursdays up Roath Pak - always been a problem as wife does fat club then (She calls it that)

We should meet up. Love to have your opinion on latest post of minotaur just finished

PS link comes up dead for FAMP

Guess I had better get rid of that then I have been out of the country for the last 5 or so months so haven\'t really got around to checking if links still work or not :D

I shall add that to my list of things to do. (It\'s a long list that is getting longer by the hour).

Can\'t say I know anyone at Cardiff Wargames but then there is a possibility that I may know one or two from a different club years ago when there was a club just around the corner from the Blind Institute in Cardiff (one or two of them went over to Penarth when it shut down).

I tend to tournament with Warmaster these days (less arguements and more fun) so I do not bother that much with clubs as such although as part of a European league as well as here in the UK I see enough of the country being in a club doesn\'t matter.

Know what you mean about list of things to do!

Never tried Warmaster yet but it\'s going like wildfire in historical with rules based on it.

I even have a set of WWII based on it \'Blitzkrieg Commander\'

Still got my old Epic stuff though. Nice painted Blood Angels Army, but haven\'t ever got around to finishing painting the eldar, chaose, imperial guard or orks yet

Always stuff to do.

Signs are good though. My 2 yr old daughter is fascinated by the figures. Wife says she can get therapy for that. Too late!

No turning her now!

The fascination is whether she can get them in her mouth or not lol however in years to come the wife will remind you when she destroys a figure that you put lots of time in on that it is your own fault and that you encoraged her when she was 2....

Epic was all I used to play at the Cardiff club years ago 2 or 3 of us used to travel in from Newport every other Sunday I have a very large Epic force in the way of a Titan Legion complete with Marine Chapter and IG as well as 2 other complete Marine Chapters (the beauty of Epic) And a small force of Squats, Orks and Eldar painted up and a load that are still waiting.
