From the Wryd Miniatures Femme Fatale comp...

I really like this figure, it was a pleasure to paint. I\'ve redone the photographs as recommended in the comments from the comp.

I\'ll probably want to have a bash at another Freebooter mini after this - they have tons of character.

NICE..... I love the base. The dead leaves etc just the right touch. The gems are exceptional. The leather is also really well done. The only thing is the gstring doesnt look like its been highlighted.

great job love it.

Nice contrasted atmospherical piece. Technically there are some blends that could be smoother, but overall I like it. Great work on the base.

I like the glossy look to the leather stuff. I think the right but cheek looks a bit wrong somehow. But overall excellent job.

Sure...

The basecoat was a nice dark mix of - VMC German Grey, VGC Night Blue and a little black. The highlighting was worked up using, firstly, German Grey and VMC Ultramarine - until the highlight was nearly blue. The next stage was to mix Ultramarine with VMC Sky blue - just for a couple of steps and lastly using Sky blue and white.... with white being the final highlight. To get the white flash, I just did a dot of white and pulled it with the brush in the direction of the highlight (just one on each area).

The jewels... oddly these were originally going to be gold NMM as they are actually flat but I decided to make them jewels instead to get the red accents into the paintjob They are spot varnished.

I gloss varnished the whole figure before flat varnishing and it seemed to really lift the colours.
