Casting

I've done a bit of casting before with 'White metal', but want to start trying resin.

So

What is the best resin to cast with?

Nothing too brittle, but nothing too expensive as this is the first time using it.

Links to reputable UK websites would be good also.

Cheers

Hi
I've tried this myself and I have to say it's a real art form to get it right.
My advice use a pro caster as I did.
But hope you have better luck than me.

Depends! There are lots of factors on suitability of one resin over another, including detail level and the physical size of the cast parts - some resins actually cure so quickly they can't really be used for large casts.

A good few prior threads on this so it would be worth doing a search, with brand recommendations and various tips (degassing RTV and the resin plus a few other things).
