Okay so the cat has been neutered. He is a little sore but otherwise none the worse for wear. He has been very affectionate since coming home, though we have to keep an eye on the puppy so he doesnt squish the kitty's sensitive bits.

My wife's birthday was Monday. She turned 30! So, in observance of this momentus occassion, her friends decorated our house. They decorated it with toilet paper and large "30" signs and a banner over the door depicting the grim reaper.

So, for her birthday we surprised her at the local fondue joint, The Melting Pot, and she was appropriately pleased that her friends and family were there. Now if you have ever been to a fondue restaurant you know that the whole process takes a good while. That said ours took longer than it should have. It tooks us four and a half hours!!!!

We saw our server a grand total of five times. water glasses were empty for half an hour at a time. The cooking pots were left on the table to burn the remnants and stink the party room we were in up. Then when I went to complain, the floor manager only made it worse by making excuses for the server. I told him that he may want to stop talking as he is only digging a deeper hole for himself. I have no patience for shit service or for people who make excuses for it. Customer service is their job and there is no excuse for screwing it up then try to make excuses. I have worked retail off and on for nearly 20 years now. I know what good customer service is, and that wasn't even in the same zip code. To make matters worse, they over charged my card by $30. I complained, and it took the same floor manager over 20 minutes to fix it. I finally left ahead of everyone else.

When my wife got home, she told me the server was standing outside of the restaurant staring them down as they were leaving. It is a good thing for that little prick's health I wasn't there. There is only so much I can take and that would have been the line in the sand getting trampled to dust.

I have told my wife that no one in my current circle of friends and family has ever seen me genuinely angry (I had a demon of a temper as a kid) and thats for the best. Had Ibeen there, someone would have seen it up close and personal.

I still may make a stop back by there soon to talk the general manager.
