I don\'t think that is the issue here uberdark. More the fact that why should somebody pay for something that they cannot see.

There should be at least one picture revealing the pixelated section.

Peace and love...

From reading the blurb on their site I think the plague demon model has been altered since those pictures were taken.

Please note: The sculpt for the Greater Plaguedemons has been slightly modified, and we did not get photos of the modified miniatures before casting. The original Greater Plaguedemon was improved by having his small insect legs replaced with two larger legs in a squatting position. Almost the same mini, just slightly improved. Therefore the mini is subject to change from the pictures below.

The pixelated bit could just be covering the altered section of the model to prevent any confusion for the people who pre-order them.

As No SUch Agency said in the News forum, it\'s probably covering \"A giant Demonic arm pit schlong\"!

Ultraforge stuff is really nice. I think I will get some more later this year. I wish they\'d do smaller scale models as well.

I\'ve had pixels fitted to my retina (retinae/retinum?) so that everything is obscured. I no longer see anything that might offend my weak sensibilities...

Well I know Lizcam had some pictures posted somewhere of a naked chick with pixels blocking out all the tourist attractions. Something about photobucket getting religion and pulling tainted images I think.

The more people talk about Ultraforge the better. When I bought my mini from them it came sooner then expected. Nice! But what set them apart was.....

-They asked what I intended to use it for, and showed genuine interest when I explained it was for a Warhammer project.

-Followed up! The eMailed me a couple weeks later asking what I thought of the model, had I started painting it, did I have any pics.

-When I finished and sent them photos (The mini was painted before I was enlightened by joining the internet world of painting, and was not very good by any standards) They were of course complimentary but also offered genuine friendly critiscism and advice.

So I thought these guys must be SUPER small outfit, but even at that time they were big enough to do runs of mini\'s and sell out quickly. Just top notch people from start to finish, and of course the model was awesome.

my thoughts exactly. as undave said, it could be new bits cut out of an old sculpt but i still wouldn\'t buy it without seeing, i dont want and armpit schlong!!

@scott, good to see they have good customer service

if hes good, i would buy him and the birdy thing

ultimately, i can understand why nipples and other lady bits are censored but a demons arse?! i shall email!

I wondered why there was a pixelated bit but I checked it out on the website and as Undave said the bit that\'s pixelated is no longer on the mini, it was altered but they had no time to get new photos done of the new improved sculpt.

Maybe it is just me but I do not think it is proper to take someone elses idea and recreate it for ones own profit. Granted their minis are about 75% cheaper than Forge World but still... I am surprised that they have not had any trouble with GW. I know JMD did when Alan C sculpted a daemonette and the Ultraforge look more like GW products than the JMD mini did. Again maybe it is just me.

If that were true, GW wouldn\'t exist.
Both 40K and Fantasy borrow HEAVILY from other people\'s material.

Ya I remember before they revamped the Tyranids the Hive tyrant used to look like the queen alien from Aliens, so point taken Dave :)

gw brought this stuff to the masses, ultraforge are just lowering the price and bettering the quality. it\'s a buyers market after all.

emailed them and got a prompt response, sophie said that the photos are the pre-change ones that were only put up after people requesting a pre order option. 3/4 of a photo is better than none!

anyway she said that new photos will be up soon when they get the first castings back

yay!

I must say that I can`t understand covering up nipples and privates on a little painted toy soldier.
There are rotting corpses, babarians with the heads or ripped out guts of their victims in their hands, religious fanatics with blood covered chainsaws, and the like, and NON of that is deemed offensive here. Sounds like double standards to me!
Its just the human body in its natural glory, what can be offending about that? We are not talking shoving big **** up your ****.... and such things whould be only one click away, easily reachable even by little kids.
