Cersei Lannister - Baratheon's fall

Hi guys, It's been a while but here's something a little different for you.

Normally the 2d art would come first and the miniature would follow, but this the other way round - an extension of my vision of Tom Meier's amazing sculpt.

This is a CG art composite piece which utilises my Cersei Lannister miniature as the base image. While mainly done as a practice piece to get used to using a graphics tablet, this was great fun to do, and combines my current love of miniature painting with my long term love of 2d art. There are a few things that I would change in hindsight, but the finished work was not the goal, compared to learning and introducing a new skill, with the vision as the inspiration.

You can view the original miniature in my gallery.

Thanks for looking. :)

Hi Freak, just a cheapp Wacom pen+touch jobbie.

It seems to track ok and all that stuff, but the pen is way too chunky for someone that's used to brushes and pencils. I'm totally ham-fisted with it still, so don't expect any real art at any point soon. :p I'll probably stick with it of course for the time being, but I do think that getting a new printer/scanner would be good as i'm much better on paper... but then you lose the editing, (and once i'm out of the 'child with crayon' stage) the workflow benefits of course. :D
