Fists of mortis

Hello everyone. I have just begun my latest model since I have just finished my warhammer 40k combat patrol. This is my second model that I am painting in NMM

please ignore the left kneepad as that was an example of how I should NOT do nmm :p. so what do you wonderful painters think? Is this model on a course to be worthy to be submitted? :innocent:

in my eyes every mini is worthy of submition (?).

i would shade the steel parts down using watered down paints, perhaps blues, purples, browns or greens to make it pop a little more, then i would increase the contrast between the shades and the brightest point.

looking good there mortis. perhaps a bit more contrast/shades to the armour as skarekrow mentioned.

I\'ll be waiting for more updates...

This model is looking better now that I had begun to glaze purple on the armour and face, I have done some more NMM over his shoulders but they can\'t be easily photographed.

So the question is this, have I added enough contrast to the metal? Please be aware I\'m not looking to make super polished elven or dwarven armour.

Also, the pictures seem to be picking up the purple pigment that the eye cannot even see. I have had to go through imageshack to reduce the image to almost the size of real life, although the purple tinge is still there..???

my guess is that it\'s the light in conjunction with the camera that does it... the purple thing. had the same problem, but in my case everything had too much yellow tone in it. until I get proper lightning I\'m taking photos outside in the light of the sun.

but as I said it\'s just my guess, I\'m not a proffesional in photography.

I am really pleased with the contrast I\'ve achieved on the NMM. But if I was really picky I would have to change the chainmail so that the reflections go the same way and so the right arm is on a same reflection line as the armour plate beside it.
