I am looking for advise on how to improve in every aspect, painting (I have started using Vallejo paints and watering them down slightly probably not enough though). I paint under a hallogen lamp which is probably not the best. I also have no clue on how to take good photos any help would be apreciated

I think you have a good start here! :) Definately very cool.

For the information you\'re after you can find lot\'s of information in the article section and if you search the forums. You seem to have a good camera so now it\'s only up to lighting the miniature in a good way and leveling/sharpening miniatures in photoshop (or similar application) There are articles in the photography section.

What I always try to do is getting as much light as possible from the position of the camera. This article is a good start. I\'d use a pale grey or gradient paper as a backround as white can confuse the camera a bit. I think there are helpful guides for setting up your camera in threads on the \"photography\" part of the forum. If you have any specific questions it\'s just to ask.

For the painting, as I\'ve said you have a good start. Next, try adding more highlights and depth to the colours. And yes, thining them is important.. try to find the right consistency for your way of painting. And finally.. remember to shake those Vallejos well! :)
