Chaos termi (my silver 40k single)

Well, I got motivated and took some pictures of the ol Chaos Termi that i entered at games day LA this year.

Hopefully you guys like the pics, they definitely do a better job of showing off the mini than the way it appeared at the show, (terrible lighting at the show!) I painted it pretty dark, but when i got there, the model just looked black.

In any case, Im calling it my personal best. It might not be to eveyones tasts, but when i paint i have a vision of how i want the model to look, and so far this has been closest to the vision in my mind of how the model should look.

OH and btw, what do you think of the pictures? would it be better to have just 2 larger pics combined? or do you like the muti view thing?

this mini is so bad a$$....
i saw it yesterday at GD and the paint just blew me away.
perfect blends...sets a great dark mood for a chaos Termie...and all the sculpted stuff... why was it not gold???

because i agree with Tagron the lighting sucked & it made the mini way to dark. or a few of the judges need glasses.

the feel i would like to have got for my chaos... but i was so young and rushed them. awesome feel, i like the images on the wall (primarchs?) well deserved silver (shouldve been gold)

Great atmosphere to that piece. Maybe you could also do a pic on a paler background as some detail seems to blend in to the black background. That suggestion is purely so we can see everything. The black background suits the pice as a whole image.

@Roger, about that white back ground, here is one that i took before the show to send to a friend. I guess it looks good on white too, but i just find the black helps reduce reflected light, glare, and adds to the atmosphere as you said.

Thanks for that pic, tagron. Yep it still looks great on a white background. Now, how about a yellow with pink polkadots background? Now that would be the real test. lol

\"Wow\" seems so... inadequate. The whole scene is amazing. You pulled off a dark mini in a dark setting with master skill.

I agree, I\'m surprised this ONLY took Silver Gold and Slayer must\'ve really been something.

agreed! lovely job. i like the dark feel of the black background but the white background shows it off better

someone PM shawn and tell him we\'ve set him a challenge. if he could manage some where near this level of osl, the mini would still look stunning.
