Hey guys I have this idea to convert an army for Chaos Marines(GW). I wanted to run it by you all and see what you think of it. Basically I was planning on using the standard Chaos Marine body for the troops and converting a Tryanid head to sit on it along with sculpting on a tail. Hopefully giving it a reptilian feel. The whole army is Chaos Undivided with the common theme based around the five-headed dragon Tiamat. Five man tactical squads and five total squads each painted to match one of Tiamats heads(Red,Blue,Black,Green, and White). Thoughts would be appreciated.

A couple of thoughts:
1: It;s gonna be expensive as you can no longer get Bitz from GW so it\'s either ebay or one of the Bits bargan estores.
2: Tyranids aren\'t really reptilian, either in terms of looks or \"Fluff\"
3: Think of Warhammer lizard men heads instead.

ignore any GW fanboys you amy encouter.
i think the heads and tails will be quite interesting. throw the fluff bible out the window and make your army look the way you want it to. GW cannot dicatate what you waat your models to look like.
take a look at dungeon and dragons and their new dragonborn, or the Baaz, Kapak, and other Draconians to see how these dragon-like Chaos may look compaired to them and see what you come up with for your grunts of Tiamat.
you probably have already seen them, but meh.
check eBay for nid bits or any other heads you may be able to find.

This is a good point. My orange orks almost got thrown out of the GW store. Not by the employess mind you, they liked da boyz.
Back when i played a little more, my store seemed quite allright about \'odd\' or against fluff armies. And some even encouraged it. A mate had a blue khorne chaos army, and also saw some brightly coloured pink gobbos.
It was only the youngest players who didnt get it (they paint how they see it in the books lol)
but most staff and that seem ok, some even liked my idea of my future pre heresy death guard led by mortarion or black dark angels

I\'ll second DR\'s suggestion on using lizardman heads and tails it will definatly give a more dragonlike feel, nids are far more alien then lizard looking.
I definatly like your idea either way they\'ll be a very swank army. it also gives some great possibilities for draconic chaos spawn and deamon prince. Even custom Raptor squads with dragon wings, tails, and even clawed feet instead of just regular jump packs. Heck dependin on your plasticard and kit bashing skills a draconic defiler would be sweet, might even be a robot dragon toy that could be busted up and converted.
And be sure to post a WIP for this army be interesting to see it come together.
