Hi all,
I have just posted a Chaos Warrior from Excalibur Miniatures. He was a nice little project \'in-between\' so to speak.
He is painted completely in metallics and I am very curious how he will fare here on CMoN :)

Comments are appreciated :)

very steely...

Nice work on the metallics...What is the \'green tint\' up by the eye.... Is that his eye glowing through??

I like it. Really nice armor, and I love the old goofy chaos warriors. I gave it an 8. :flip::bouncy:

edit: I just noticed the manufacturer...wow, they have some style going for them. Is this a currently available line or is this an older company?

Thx for the comments :)

@Supervike:
Yes, the green tint is supposed to be some glow coming from the eyes. Added almost as an afterthought and this shows :~(
EDIT: It looks a little better from this angle:

Not that long for me. I guess around 5-6 hours. And thx for the comment :)

@Taer:
The mini is currently available. Check out their homepage at http://www.excalibur-miniaturen.de
They are overall quite cheap but the casting quality is not the best (lots of moldlines, at least on this one). They have severall Chaos Warriors in a similar sytle.
Never tried their mailorder though.

very cool...

Yeah, that is what I thought it was....I love the \"glow\" ...

Thats a great way to add interest back to the face, especially when the rest is all metallic.

Great job.!

I think it looks great and i dig the model! very good subtle stuff going on in there, the rust and grit for examlpe. I like the toned down appearance and muted palette but somewhere in my head i think that this needs something to pop at you! cant put my finger on it but since it is a mini you\'ll need an eye catcher so that ppl look at it a second time and give em time to apreciate the subtle stuff on it. i think 1 detail would do, maybe the hilt on the sword, the shoulderpad or the helmet.

Anyways, enuff from me =P

Ahhh. I thought he was using Tammy\'s technique on old weathered metals in Harbinger #8.

Partly similar yes. But I hardly used any inks and I used wet-blending to create the initial shading and highlighting.

Once again thanks for the comments :)
