Chapter: Unsung Heroes NOW WITH BASE!

Hi all!
This is the group shot of the three arctic marines, or as they are now called (thanks DR): Unsung Heroes!
They are my entry in a GW Northern Europe competition to create your own chapter.
I have never played 40k, and know almost nothing about the world, so my background story is very general, and I hope I haven\'t messed up too bad. You can read it in the picture description.

They are very nicely done and the devastator is excellent. I think in this instance your choice of NMM was the right one. IMO they look better without the fire and plasma as that would spoil the cold look about them.
The only thing I can see is that the sword on the Champion mini is very slightly bent to one side and could just do with straightening slightly.

Very good work, Astonia. I\'ll just have to double my efforts to beat your minis - I have an entry coming up as well.

The only problem I can think of is the NMM. Given the british judges view of the NMM stuff, it may actually hurt your minis (even though the NMM looks excellent). As it is, the image is a bit non-GWish, IMO. Rust and weathering looks really nice.

@Day You\'ll post pics of your chapter once it\'s done right? Deadline is on wednesday, hehe, no stress!
In my store we have 3 GD winners that are competing too, so I don\'t think these guys will make it to the grand finale, but it\'s worth a try.

Very beatiful, i suppose you are planning to enter the unit competition so i think you surely pass the first cut minimum, then in my opinion you have some good chanche to place in the first 3. Just an advice, but maybe you\'re already thinking about that: build a display base more big to hold the 3 guys.

Edit: ops it\'s not the Gd, sorry just realized, but my advice on the display base is still ok.

the paintjob is flawless and i think that the bases fit the mini a lot, even if a display base will make them look even better!
