Me wanty! (the poseable one that is) I do like the one chern showed as far as the overall look goes though the weapons need changing, sword is a bit too fantasy bad guy and the pistol seems a bit indistinct for want of a better word. Plus I would drop the spiked rings from the tabard, they are only ever going to be a pain in the butt to clean up.

Whoa! I like this one also. It has charm. What is it?

Yeah, that's cool:)

What about this also?

A little 'old-school' but I quite like that:)

Glad I'm not the only one:)

It's made by a firm called Alternative Armies who have been going for years. I guess their most famous product is the 'Flintloque' models and gaming system. However, they also do other ranges and this one is from their 'Ion Age' range and is one of many in a faction called 'Retained Knights'

You can see the whole lot here.

They do another faction called 'Muster Troops' which are also quite nice...

Their full range is here.

They are very reasonably priced IMO at either £2 a unit for Muster Troops or £3 a unit for Retained Knights. I have ordered a few to see what they are like in the flesh.

Good spot Vikey!

I hadn't really noticed those before, but there are some really cool characters there.

I know Black Hat though as they sell the full range of Cote d Arms paints which are very highly regarded by many.

Yeah, that's right. Cote d Arms is the original 'Citadel' paint. (which I still have several servicable pots!)

I was just going to mention Bob Naismith's retro cool Cobalt-1 line, which is filled with that Rogue Trader feel.

They are now re-released, and available from Black Hat Minis:

Excellent 'alternative' stuff there.

Some reall nice 'old skool' stuff indeed. I love these pair:

The option to be able to fit a helmet is great for those folk, like me, who hate painting faces. Creative use of what appears to be a capacitor as part of the backpack on the one on the left too:D

Old school is cool but i gotta say i really don't mind the new stuff. Really loving the forge world assault squads and quite frankly i would rather fork out for them than something that looks admittedly retro-cool. I reckon i would feel a bit disappointed playing against a extreme 'counts as' army when I have a lot of love for the legit SOB army I have put a LOT of time and cash into.

I still think the first picture on the thread is the coolest one so far. So so retro!

Another cool thing about the Cobalt-1 stuff is that some of those 'fitted helmets' came as clear plastic domes. I've got a small quantity of those.

Unfortunately, the Black Hat Minis was unable to source any new ones for the re-release.

I've been wanting to make a purchase from em-4 for some time, and those space rangers may have put me over the top. Does any one know if they have a US distributor? My google-fu has turned up nada.

THe Tin Dictator used to be the US Distributor, but they've gone out of business.

But to be honest with you, I've ordered directly from EM-4 several times over the last year, and have never had an issue. It's always quick, inexpensive, and great service. Doug, the guy there, is super friendly and very responsive.

I wouldn't hesitate at all to order from them again.

Plus, as a cool bonus, many of the miniatures I ordered came 'pre-primed'. (I ordered quite a few of the old copplestone metal minis). There wasn't even any flashlines! All I had to do is base them and paint them (which I've not done, but still...)

About a dozen of these arrived today and I have to say they are great sculpts and very well cast. I also found out that the sculptor is none other than Bob Olley:D

The photos on the site don't really do them justice.
