cheap lights

can anyone recommend a good place to buy bright lights for a light tent? i had a look through this section yet couldn\'t find anything that was newish (and therefore with relevant pricing)

2 should be ok shouldn\'t it?

having got fed up with my poor attempts at photography, i am going to have a go again and try to sort out my setup, even if that means buying a better camera

I don\'t think the lighting is your problem. Time for a new camera dude...

But Argos is good for cheap halogen desk lamps.

I use a couple of cheap desk lamps - the anglepoise type, that I bought from B&Q or Focus - The bulbs are THESE which for what they are are bloody ace. They\'re only 32w but give 160w each at a temp of 5000k - which is not at all bad as a daylight bulb.

I\'d say the total cost would be about £30.00-40.00 for both lights

Sorry Tim those are light boxes for viewing slides and negatives, not designed for illuminating anything else.

I just ordered two of these with a light tent from amazon on friday, I thought £20 for the lights was an awsome price.

nice but what about when the bulb goes? (not that i use them enough for that to be a problem!)

Doh! although I never search ebay for owt, I think I\'m one of the few ppl on the planet that hasn\'t bought something off ebay

I\'m sooo excited about getting my tent and lights!

Let me know if you find a bulb supplier for these lights, I figured a place I got some PL Daylight bulbs over the internet would do bulbds for them, they do all sorts.
