Some very, very cool artistic vision here...

The man paints himself to look \'invisible\'

Here are some of the cooler ones:

Sometimes I wonder about the amount of time that really talented artists have on their hands.

Then I remember what I do for fun, and figure its best to just shut up. :D

As for process, I\'d take a photo of the scene then line up a projection of the photo over the actual scene and trace the projection on to myself. Not particularly difficult, just time-consuming.

Kewl, good preview of how thermoptic camouflage will work :)

Colour matching could actually be better though. It\'s possible to get exact matches in paint if you need them.

I\'d definitely start with a photo but I don\'t know if projecting would work outdoors (in daylight)?

he wouldn\'t need to project outdoors, in the daylight. he could project it over himself, go into a darkish room and copy with paint. then go outside and move till he\'s in the right place

That\'s super cool. I could beat him in a fight though, as I would cover myself in cool mud blocking his heat vision, then we\'d be on equal terms.

All sorts of ways around this. Project at dawn/dusk, set up a tent, use a high-power projector, boost the contrast or outline the image in Photoshop.....

It\'s been done many times before. I think this is one of my favourites:
