Hello everyone!

I am living in germany and my common english is very bad. But I will try hard, so that you can possibly understand me.

Because I am not very long in this hobby, I apretiate ervery comment an tip to improve. I have got a forum, where I have got very good tips, but additional comments would be great too.

In november last year I have started my first "show case" (Vitrienenminiatur). I hope this is the right word for a miniature, that wont be used for playing, but only for looking great (if possible) in a glass cabinet.

It is the Games Day miniature 2009. I tried to paint it for nurgle. So the armor is not high shining, but old and matt glaze. The rust on the shield will be added in the front too. I hope soon... The arms are still missing, but will be added, when the carcass will be finished.

Unfortunatally my digi cam has been broken, so I can show you only photos made by a cellular phone camera. So the resolution is not ideal and the color of horns looks not right on the photo. In reality it is much brighter and differs much more, than the armor.

Though I hope, you can jugde enough.

Greetings Taggi.

Thank you a lot for the good compliments to my mini! I have to confess, that it is surprising to have so good comments in CMON. And yes, it make me a very tiny little bit proud of me... *red in the face*

@ my english:
Well, sometimes I have got the impression, that my wirting lasts longer, than my painting. And I am realy slow in that! Shame on me, but I was lame since ever in every language I have to learn. So I even now write this message with a dictionary on my knees. *sigh*

Like everyone else is saying, no worries about the English mate, this forum is full of people all ages and all languages with English skills varying between top notch and google translate. :D If you want to have less books in your lap while writing I recommend using THIS.

As for your painting, all I can say is WOW! I'm really looking forward to seeing -everything- you post. Your skills look awesome. :D

I have to say that I don't like the colors. Sorry, purely personal preference. BUT, the SKILL is unmistakeble, and I am VERY impressed.

wow, your new in the hobby but you paint THIS?! Pretty cool, where have you learned to paint so smooth? I especially like the dirt on the cape.

nice mini, especially the cape. i would say the rest of the armour (beautifully smooth as it is) looks too clean

Hi Tagamoga, I'm not a fan of clicking on links in threads but I'm glad that I did here :good: Really nice colour selections. It will be good to catch up with him once the arms are attached. Thanks, B.

Tank a lot to you all!

@ beolingus:
THANK YOU! I have searched this Page since months! I have forgotten the name...

@ new to the hobby:
It is aproximatly two years since I have bought my first mini. So I dont think, that I am a veteran, or something like that.

@ Smooth:
Well... i have practiced much, and let others shown me, what they do for smoothness. It is REALY hard to explain. I was already asked for a turorial, but it is really hard for me to explain this. I can give you the link, when it is finished. But I tell you, like the other forum: I think a part of the smoothness is made of my celluar phone camera. Because I dont judge my mini soooooo smoooth in the reality.

@Dirt:
well, this was a work of 5 minutes. You cover up all parts with a paper hankerchief, that should not be dirty. Than you dip a "Borstenpinsel" (A brush with short hard hairs) into Delvan Mud. Than you use your tumb on the wet brush to spit litle drops of paint onto the cloak. Let it dry, and the dirt is finisched.

@ too clean:
Well, rust will be added. And I dont know, if all the scratches are shown in the foto. I hope, after the rust, it will be "dirty" enough.

Tank for all your comments!

Greetings, Taggi.

its nice. your some sort of prodigy to be painting at this level in such a short time. im fond of the reds and the battle damage on the cape AND the freehand. ill make sure to keep an eye on your progress becuase it will surely be a sick model when it is done. if you have the time please check out my current WIP and let me know what you think. Its titled 'eldar autarch repost with pic' good luck finishing it! i see many golden demons in your future.

Hi Taggi
nice work so far, I'd have gone for a green or brownish armour for Nurgle, but that's just personal taste, keep up the good work

If you use the
tags you can put the image into your post
like so

Yes, finally, thanks! Perhaps I did not looked close enough, but is here a list with all allowed tags?

Tanks for your comments!

I paint my thumb.
I was wanting to say something about the freehand on the cloak; first I thought it needed to be tidied up, but on closer look it looks real neat on it's own. I think the stains on the surrounding areas make it look wrong cause it's close in color and some of them overlap it.
