Postage is a bit steep for individual items from there though. Four times the cost of the bitz.

Here\'s another place that sells bitz. They don\'t have as much but they might have stuff you want.

Has any1 got their bag yet I\'m thinking of getting one but am thinking the postage is a bit high for somthing I want but dont need. If you have got yours is it good, is it worth paying for one to be sent to the U.K???

Bitzbox seems a bit rubbish to me. They sent me an email which claimed that they were probably the biggest bits site now that BW has gone but they still have a rather small selection and only ever one or two of any particular component. I did order a few things off their site and I got them in good time but I cleaned them out of all the stuff I ordered and I would have ordered more if they\'d had it.

Anyone got any better alternatives in the meantime?

Hi Guys

My name\'s Matt, I co-own BitzBox.co.uk; please allow me to explain why we have not yet got the largest range of stock on the site. We started the site last year with basically no capital and only the spare bits we ourselves had collected over the years. We grow our stock range by using the profits from the bits we sell; we know this is not the fastest way to grow a business but unfortunately it\'s the only way we have. :(

Our first priority was to get at least one of every plastic boxed set that GW sell, a task which we have almost completed to a satisfactory degree. What this means is that in the next six months or so our goal will be to stock larger quantities of bits in order to compete with sellers on eBay and the bits service the War Store will start up.

I can tell you we currently have an order being processed for more stock which should be on the site in the next month, including 5 new boxed sets. We are also planning on stocking some other hobby supplies which should also appear on the site in the next month. :D

Sorry matey, I didn\'t mean to cause any offence. The stuff I got from you was bloody useful and arrived promptly (postage was good too:D) Like I said though I could have done with more of it.

Currently I\'m after 10 or so of the spiky hammers from the chaos warriors box set and some Empire stuff too. Last time I looked you had one hammer and no Empire at all.

I can only imagine how hard it is to start up an internet business like this and you have my respect for making it this far. Hopefully this gap in the market will allow you guys to expand quicker. Have you thought about doing an exchange system like the one BW had.

I really do hope you guys take off and are able to get more stock in because you\'d be miles more convenient than BW was. At the moment though it\'s just kind of frustrating that you only have one of everything.

Edit: Ok I just had another look and the Empire general has appeared. Any chance of the state troops and handgunners turning up soon I needs me some standards

Bloody hell, I tried to order a big bag o\' bits ($25) from BWB and the lowest postage was $18. They\'re PLASTIC for crying out loud! I could ship an anvil across the border for that much! I don\'t need spares THAT badly

No offence taken my friend, it\'s good to hear that you got your bits OK. I think we may have another Empire box on order but don\'t quote me on that lol we sent the order about a week ago and i don\'t ahve the spreadsheet to hand.

Whilst we have thought about a trade in scheme we feel that at the moment it might be a bit complex to implement because we havent really thought about the values of individual bits. For instance someone could want one beaky head in exchange for a few other bits that might not sell so we face losing out on money or turning down a lot of trades.

The fairest scheme we have in place at the moment is when people sell us their bits for cash. We did try implementing a store credit system, which would ahve been handy but we could not get it working properly as we have some problems with OSCommerce2 and PHP5. If we implement a store credit system it will probably be with the release of OSCommerce 3.

One quick bit of advice: whack that reaper standard up by a couple of quid. The one on BW was going for about £6

Lol that\'s a lot of money for one bit. Whilst we do(or rather we did) look at BWBits to see what we should be charging we thought a few of their prices were artificially inflated to a frankly silly amount.
