Hey all, dunno if any of you watch wrestling (Im assuming some of you do)

If you didn\'t know already Chris Benoit has committed suicide. No joke.

Just thought I\'d pay some respect in my own little way.

RIP Chris Benoit

As far as I\'ve just read, it isn\'t clear whether he committed suicide at all. His wife and child were found dead with him too.

Looks like something seriously bad was happening with the family. The report on WWE.com suggests he murdered his family then killed himself a day or two later. Whatever actually happened or caused it to happen, it is a great tragedy. And it seems such a short while ago that Eddie Guerrero passed away too.

this pretty much says it all. the son of a b&*ch killed his wife and smothered his son. ..... i am at a loss for words. honestly last night the wwe had a big tribute to a man who we now have come to find out actually killed his own child and wife.

a real role model for children isnt he?

sorry but this has truly pissed me off. if hell exists i hope there is a special for him there with the rest of the child killers and molesters.

:/

the guy was super intense, I don\'t think he ever recovered from Eddies death tbh.

Yeah he did kill his family but its tragic more than anything, I don\'t think he was like some sadistic guy who had it all predetermined. Its not good what he did and you can\'t justify it but its tough to judge.

Seems they are already looking for something to blame.

It\'s the drugs!

It can\'t be his fault!

It\'s the sorrow he felt for his co-wrestler.

It\'s not his fault!

IF he really murdered those poor people (and all indications are that he did) he should be Villified, not honored.

Just for the record, I have no idea who the guy is, nor do I really care. Not a wrestling fan, but this goes beyond that goofy excuse for a sport anyhow.

Something about the case seems fishy to me. Maybe it\'s because I was a fan of Benoit\'s for a long time, and it doesn\'t fit the personality that I always saw in him. I believe that anyone can snap under the wrong set of circumstances, but this just seems so far from how Benoit always acted.

To me, it is strange that he would recieve a call about a family emergency, rush home to be with his family and then kill them. Something about that just doesn\'t jibe to me, but again it may just be a personal bias.

At any rate, it\'s yet another tragedy for the wrestling world to try to come to terms with.

And I\'m not trying to posthumously convict him....IF he did these things I have no sympathy for him...I will however extend the benefit of the doubt and let the investigators try and figure it out.

Well, at this point the official investigation is all but over. Their determination is that Benoit killed his wife and son and committed suicide.

I continue to see discrepancies in what is reported, but I guess it must just be wishful thinking on my part.

Yeah. I have been a fan on Benoit for years. And I will wait until I see the whole story before I give an opinion on the matter. But I do know he was a great entertainer, always in top shape, and he made you enjoy his performances. I haven\'t watched wrestling in years, but I don\'t have some good memories because of him.

I wonder if there was any steroid abuse in the picture ???

On the news tonight they said he killed his wife and child Friday night and probably didnt hang himself until Sunday morning.

They said they were looking into Steroid abuse.

One of the discrepancies was cleared up within the last hour or so. The initial reports were that Benoit had been called and told there was a family emergency and he left to go home.

According to the WWE, he was in fact at home and called the company to tell them the family was ill and he would not be able to make the show.

So...

Alleged steroid abuse?

The guy is 5 ft 10 and a solid block of mass muscle....I doubt there is any Alleged to it.

Sad really, he was a great entertainer and what the news said didn\'t match his personality as most people knew it. However most people base their idea of his personality on his wrestling persona. It\'s truly sad that something like this happened. No child deserves something like that to happen to them or their mother in this case..

though i has stopped watching wrestling years ago... it is still tragic to find a person in just a confused state that he must take his familys life as well.... so sad so very sad.
