Chris Benoit Dead

Not really any worse than Dahmer keeping some one in the fridge for later - Fish just went into details about the pleasure of long pork.

Fish was a maniac of epic proportions.

Dahmer kept pieces of his victims around - Fish wrote to the little girl\'s family to explain in detail how he had tricked them, killed the girl, and eaten her over the course of several days, BUT while making it clear that he did not rape her.

Gee thanks Albert...\'preshate that...

He is one of the more fascinating/scary serial killers you will ever read about. Upon receiving the death sentence, he said \'What a thrill it will be to die in the electric chair! It will be the supreme thrill; the only one I haven\'t tried!\'

The thing about him that freaks people out the most when they first learn of him is usually this image:

xray.gif

As self-punishment, the man would insert needles into his perineum and lodge them inside his pelvis. Ouch.

Takes all kinds.

The guy who shot John Wilkes Booth castrated himself to prevent evil thoughts - :innocent:

Whatever, some steriod moster goes on a rage and kills his family, wow, I could have never seen that one coming. Kind of a non story if you ask me, now the governement is promising an investigation into the pro wrestling circuit and the rampant steriod use. Big deal, who cares, it\'s a bunch of actors who base their living on scripted violence and fans who don\'t know any better. Wrestling stopped being cool about the time as my Saturday Night Fever record warped and I outgrew my bell bottoms. Don\'t just blame the monster, blame the media and the fans who worship these guys, bigger is better, take more juice, etc. The real victim was the child, for him I feel utter remorse, everyone else just actors in a big trajedy, the ending could have played out different but it still was going to end badly no matter what. Someday athletes and athlete/actors will realize that performance enhancing drugs aren\'t the way to go.

All I can say is this

\"As a Wrestling Fan I will never forget what you did in the ring, but I will never forgive what you did in real life. May you find the peace that can only be granted by god\'s forgiveness and mercy.\"

Not that I really keep up on this sport (I use that term loosely) but didn\'t Vince McMahon \'die\' in one of the scripted parts?

I swear I saw a commercial like that...did this tragedy end that plot line, or did it end on its own?

Pro Wrestling is no different (IMHO) than real life comic books...Huge dudes in spandex, cheesy villians, cheesier plot lines, good guys, bad guys.....it\'s all just escapism. Like I said I\'m not a fan of it, but I don\'t begrudge the folks that are.

Yes, they had just done a scripted bit of an \'assassination\' of Mr. McMahon.

The week after that, Sherri Martel (\'Sensational\' Sherri, \'Queen\' Sherri, \'Scary\' Sherri...take your pick) died of still undetermined causes. The WWE was a little shaky, but decided to continue the storyline.

The week after THAT, this happens.

On the Monday night that the Benoit announcement was made, Vince appeared on their Monday show to give his comments, effectively ending the assassination storyline.

Whilst I don\'t condone any use of drugs or indeed, the effects of them. I find this comment pretty ignorant.

I train and I train HARD... and I do it naturally. I\'m no Benoit, but I\'m no pencil neck either. Through training with a semi pro bodybuilder (that is also a natural athlete) I see lots of people banding the \' omfg look at him - he\'s on steroids \' about. Steroids aren\'t a magic drug that make you huge and if you saw the hard work these guys have to put in in terms of diet, training and rest then people may open their eyes.

What I generally found was people were just trying to make themselves feel better about their crappy health and diet.

Like I said, I don\'t condone nor use steroids use or effects.. just pointing something out regarding a sport that is completely misunderstood.

That\'s exactly what they are. You can train light and still put on bulk; it\'s as simple as that.

And if you have the benefit of good genes to start with and you take steroids you\'ll eventually have the look of a brick outhouse, but without having to spend 4-6 hours training 5-6 days a week.

Lemme put it this way, you ever seen Tom Platz\'s jaw muscles? ;)

I stand by my original point. they\'re a catalyst.. nothing more. Sure they help specially since most BB\'ers eat the worst diets ever...

My point was that not everyone that looks big uses steroids, nor do they spend 4-6 hours a day 7 days a week training - the rules of hypertrophy simply don\'t work like that.

Sure if you want to compete as an IFBB pro, then steroids are almost mandatory.

I sure have seen his jaw, but what do you think he does in the gym? Tricep kickbacks? I doubt it ...

It would be ignorant of me to say that statement and then find out that Chris Benoit never touched steroids.

Did the police find steroids in his house?

Note I never made the claim that the steroids caused him \'roid rage\'...I just stated that it is a no brainer that he took them.

Without benefit of the toxicology autopsy, I don\'t know for sure....but I think its a fairly safe bet.

I don\'t know how that shows my \'ignorance\'.

Well, the steroids found in his house may well have been for the boy, Daniel.

There have been reports that Daniel had injection marks on his arms, and that Nancy and Chris were giving him steroids/HGH because of his small size (a side effect of Fragile X, apparently).

Furthermore, I\'ve been on steroids before, by a doctor\'s prescription, and I\'m a 5\'10\" block of wiggly fat. ;)

Simply the connection between someone looking big and the use of steroids...

Just pointing out something I see all too often. In no way am I defending Benoit or roids btw.. what he did was disgusting and if the effects of steroids caused his outburst - well that\'s even worse.

All kinds of people take steroids every day - if you\'ve ever been on cortisone you\'ve been on a steroid.

Benoit was on prescribed testosterone as replacement therapy due to damage caused by his previous steroid use - thats per his doctor.

Thing is there is now a new syndrome that they are starting to see in steroid users - when you stop using them you can go into a crashing depression - which can lead to violent behavior, much like roid rage.

HEH! Me too! LOL

@arma...I see your point. You are absolutely right...there are plenty of \'buff\' guys out there that do it the natural way, I won\'t take anything away from them!!
