Why is there only one thread that just marginally touches this subject?

Is the fact that there is no direct link to the comic strip on the main page related to it?

Why is Chrispy such a talented man?

Why don\'t I appear in the strips (I am the strangest named Wolfen on Aarklash, dammit! :p )?

Why isn\'t Chrispy\'s character complaining about the low scores of his minis in the strip?

And finally, does Chrispy wash/eat/sleep, in a word, live?

P.S.: Personal enemy: Jen Haley...? Bwa ha ha ha ha ha .... lol

without this button the comic does not get the attention it deserves but right now we shouldn\'t bug chern ann with this, if you ask me.

Okay, all you had to do was ask! It\'s just that some of the avatar\'s around here are harder to come up with in a short amount of time (which is why Jim is seen mostly, he\'s a Pear with eyes and flippers.. :p )

Chern originally told me to post up the annoucement of a new strip every week, but news posting takes a whole day sometimes, and by that time I\'m drawing the strip for the next day!

Why isn\'t my character complaining about scores? Modesty. I DO, however have a conversion planned for Reaper\'s new clay golem as me getting frustrated with scores. (\"Don\'t make me angry, you wouldn\'t like me when I\'m angry\")

Next, we could get on the Philosophical topic of what living is, but I\'d like to say I was actually put together from various human parts in a labratory....
And finally, here\'s the Haley run-down:
I respect her work, I\'m not biased because she\'s a female. In fact, most of my friends in CMON are female painters. I just got so annoyed hearing her name every 5 seconds, I kinda snapped one day. It\'s like if you had to listen to elevator music for the rest of your life.
I made it as a running gag just because one day on Comedy Central, there was a guy with a sock on his head trying to get the phone number of Batman. I thought it was funny that someone so famous as Jen would be the Archnemesis of Me, it\'s like an ant trying to fight a human.

Right. Now I was all set to start drawing when I needed to look at someone\'s Avatar a bit closer and I got caught up in this, so ta-ta! :D

Crispy, I feel so sorry for you!!! Your strategy of using people\'s avatars is cunning, but you\'re going to be hounded and bribed until people see themselves in the comic! :flip:

You should set up some form of exchange rate...

Three unpainted space marines = Honorable mention in dialogue

First production releases for the Confrontation Cynwall elves = Your avatar goes on vacation for three months and the winning bidder gets to play Superman.

GW War Mammoth painted by Bobby Wong = You hand over full control of the strip and forever after are forced to draw yourself in a tiny Speedo and one of those hats with two beer cans on the side.

(Sorry, can\'t be more creative with these... got to dash...)

@ Cenobyte: ??? Is sth going on with Chern I don\'t know about? I was just in a fun mood, I had no intention to be obnoxious...

I think a lot of people missed that news, because at the time there are only 20 comments on that news item. I think everyone who reads it would post a message to support Chern Ann (well, so did I).

me too - knowing i am not able to do anything is the worst. this was the least i could do even if i was not able to find the correct words.

sorry for getting OT here, but i just wanted to keep track of that, because i don\'t really feel like letting this simply disappear in the news.

Thanks for answering us Chrispy. It\'s encouraging to see you came up with a comic so quickly. :eek: I guess its true when they say the squeaky wheel gets the grease.:rolleyes:

Okay, the real answer..

It may seem that I get bogged down with miniatures and the comic, but not really. Here at my house, every Saturday or Sunday is the day we clean up the house. We mostly have hardwood floors (I miss the carpety blanket for when my minis fall off my table :( ) but with all the vacuuming, washing and rinsing going on, I can\'t walk on certain areas that are wet and I can\'t concentrate to paint minis. I then mostly lock myself up in the computer room of the house with my sketch pad and that\'s when I do my cartoons. If you notice, I try and make it as easy on myself as possible, so I don\'t draw myself over and over and over, I just have a drawing with a blank face I add expressions to. Every time I draw something, I save it so I can use it later if I want to. That being said, one of these days I WILL draw more people in and fix up inconsistancies (if you watch the cartoon, vash has a posthetic left arm and his right arm is in his coat normally). My \"excuse\" for using avatars is that I would need a pic of everyone and even then as an artist, people usually never think a drawing of them is 100%. Also, how would I explain that people from all over the world can talk to each other? :p
