Bizzare isn\'t it, I saw my first xmas decoration today up in somebodies window. Don\'t people realise its three months and 4 days untill christmas? Anybody else seen any yet?

Thankfully, in North America, Halloween sort of puts a buffer in front of Christmas... but I\'m pretty sure they have people putting up the green-n-red at 12:01 AM on November 1.

Or try living in Arizona, where Christmas never comes lol
Traditionally most people set up their decorations on Thanksgiving weekend or shortly after (at least that\'s what it seems like here). Anyone who sets them up before that is just deemed silly.
There\'s a neighborhood a few miles away from me where everyone puts up Christmas decorations. There\'s one particular street that is very extravagant and gets lots of visitors during December, some people even set up miniature villages that encompass their entire garage, and put a Plexiglas garage door so that people can see it. I remember when I was little visiting that street, one house even set up a table and were giving away free hot cocoa. I\'ll have to visit it again sometime

Well, I don\'t typically put decorations up til after TGiving, but I have to admit I\'m already listening to Christmas music. Can\'t help it, love the stuff. lol

We have tours around the city of some of the more \'intents\' house lights shows. And some of the folks up this way will start putting up lights here pretty soon. Which may not be all that bad of an idea, as we\'re known for our \'Halloween\' snow storms, and face it, who whats to climb on the roof and in trees with ice and snow on \'em?

I guess that\'s why people here like to wait until Thanksgiving. No one would want to get up on the roof in 100F heat and nail up lights, just as much as roofs with snow on them! On Halloween we are lucky if it\'s 85F outside in the evening. Hence why we don\'t get many kids trick-or-treating. lol
I need to move to northern AZ where there\'s actually snow...
