Christmas is comming... (2010)

Finally my brain started with work again, so we want to play with paints last weekend. I hardly get my hands on Mr. Arnie, as the discussion began about Christmas. Oh, sure christmas... yes... but is so far away... yes... two months... *ieeeeek*

So Mr. Arnie has to wait again... *sniff*

Four minis in two month is hard for me, so I can manage for max one mini my best level.

Here the first one for our female student in Philosophy and English (6h):
I have aimed higher TTS.
Only one black spot I still have to correct and unfortunately I have had big problems with her COC of her dark elfs. Black, Enchanted Blue, Lich Purple, this bright Pink and Gold, are a challenge for me.

And my husband will get this one, when it is finished.

So once again a gift thread...

That eldar starts really good. Do you have bigger pics of the dark elf because these are so small so it's hard to see.

Thank you guys!!!

Here a little update and a question, that was very debated with friends: Should the cloak have the same "energy-pattern" like the warwalker? Or is it too much?

Maybe using the pattern sparingly. Having it plastered all over would be a bit much for this mini I think. Enough to tie it in would be cool though!
What colours do you use for your NMM? I've thought about exploring this recently and your style is pretty inspirational!

Thank you guys!

I Think will use the pattern on the back site of the cloak often enough... *Bg*

The goldColors:
-Chaos Black
-Scorched Brown
-Bestial Brown
-Snakebite Leather
-Burbonic Brown
-Burbonic Brown mixed with white (3:1)
-Burbonic Brown mixed with white (1:3)
-White

Thanks!

In this blister there is only a helmet. I plan gold for it with a blue OSL from the eyes. I hop to set this way the focus on the head.

Using the energy pattern on the helmet a bit would be cool I think! Cheers for the list there, I was considering if I should use bubonic brown! Now I know =D

Keep up the awesome work, lass =)

I'd save the energy pattern for solid parts like the back of the helmet. The face being gold as you've said.

Not sure how you'd get the same pattern on a soft surface. Energised cloak seems... unlikely.

Have you thought about using a similar painting method as your energy patern, but using Eldar runes to give an enchanted effect?

Well...

This method of this energy pattern can be changed very slightly and it will change to NMM endboideries. With these endboideries I have a little nasty plan for the back side of the cloak...

I doubt, that the hemlet will have the focus with this patterns, because it wont be really brighter that the breast or the blue collar. So I will try to make the part with the eyes very bright.

This was my aim, as I started the first energy pattern... this energy pattern was rather an "accident". A nice one, but unplaned...
I am not so long in this hobby, that I can really control every effect. In this point I am missing very much experience... But I will try hard.

Htank you guys...

once again you make me blush...

No, I am not accepting students at all and one husband is enough for me...
But I can recommend the forum, that guided me from TTS (table top standard) to this level. It is the german "Das Bemalforum" (www.das-bemalforum.de) where you can post yout threads in english too. They will comment your minis and give a load of hints, to point the direction.

@NMM:
The mini is primed with black. That is what I am starting with. The gradient from black to Snakebite leather take 20% maximum 30% of the whole place that I have for the NMM. Far more than the half is reserved for the bright colours. Where I see your NMM?
