For a christmas film (which isnt really an xmas film, but it is on nearly every year around this time) has to be The Great Escape, iv watched that so many times and absolutely love it!

Favorite X-Mas Song: I Want a Hippopotomus For Christmas, by Gayla Peevee (old song that one).

As for Scandanavian/Celtic spirit need I remind you that the North Pole is in Canada making Santa Clause truely Canadian eh!

FYI, Santa\'s address (for real):

Santa Clause
North Pole, Canada
H0H 0H0

The last bit is his postal code. Nuff said!

Fave Xmas song ..erm..
Would that be \"Angel of Death \" by Slayer?
I like to listen to it really loudly in the dark screaming Humbug and taking potshots at anything I deem to be Santa shaped.

Tis the season to be Jolly

Hmm - best Christmas Song? \" A Christmas Song\" by Jethro Tull.

Best Christmas movie - for me tis a toss up - between \"We\'re No Angels\" and \"A Christmas Story\"

Finally remembered a Christmas song I can tolerate:

\"Father Christmas do not Touch Me!\" By The Goodies. Reached Number 7 in the UK Charts December 1974.

just fits in with my twisted sense of humour.

MUST watch XMAS movies every year:

National Lampoon\'s Christmas Vacation N.I.T.F.L
White Christmas Once was Faaaaaaar tooo many times.

Might do the obligatory Christmas Movie for brain dead over fed afternoons when we can\'t find the remote = Jason and The Argonauts (Ray Harryhausen version)

Absolutley, postively will not do \"Sound of Music, Oliver, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Mary Poppins, or Bednobs and Broomsticks\"
I\'m split on this list - I\'ve never watched (and never will watch) The Sound of Music, but actually really like all of the others especially Bedknobs and Broomsticks. The thought of a young Jessica Fletcher travelling to magical lands on a bed solving murders by trainee witchcraft and then writing books about it... I think I may be getting confused again ???

As for the Harryhausen movies, they are an absolute must - Jason, Sinbad and Clash of the Titans always have me glued to the TV (not some sort of kinky practice involving adhesive and men in ladies clothes). Of course, when I was but a youngling, the Christmas day movie always seemed to be Star Wars which was even better.

But, I\'m not a cheap, grumpy ol\' miser! :D I just don\'t like what Christmas has become...
Just for you, Ritual, Jethro Tull\'s Christmas Song;
Once in Royal David\'s City stood a lonely cattle shed,
Where a mother held her baby.
You\'d do well to remember the things he later said.
When you\'re stuffing yourselves at the christmas parties,
You\'ll just laugh when I tell you to take a running jump.
You\'re missing the point I\'m sure does not need making
That christmas spirit is not what you drink.

So how can you laugh when your own mothers hungry,
And how can you smile when the reasons for smiling are wrong?
And if I just messed up your thoughtless pleasures,
Remember, if you wish, this is just a christmas song.

(hey! santa! pass us that bottle, will you?)

I\'m a very happy Grinch :)

Sorry for the double post, but I\'m just listening to Sarah Silverman\'s \"Give the Jew Girl Toys\" and it\'s not bad.

I loved the Goodies as a kid....recently saw a \'best of\' on DVD....not so funny now...ah, how it sucks to be old and jaded.

They do an excellent concert. I have found a way to get there for the past 3 years. The concert isn\'t just Christmas songs - they did carmina burana (which I have no idea how to spell) that is just amazing. I don\'t think they have that song recorded - they just do it at concerts.

I am guessing you mean they did O Fortuna from the Carmina Burana by Carl Orff. To do the entire Carmina Burana would probably take up their whole concert time.

Sure - I guess. The concert ran 3 hours and 8 minutes anyway.
