Christmas Sophie WIP

Here\'s a couple of work in progress shots of my major project for the present. This is Reaper\'s 2003 Christmas Sophie. I figure I should have it done by next Christmas (it was supposed to be done by this past Christmas; oh well...). Comments and suggestions are sincerely appreciated.

Incidentally, is this the right forum for this? The WIP thread over on the other forum is so enormous that I think I would get lost there.

Thanks

It\'s close enough, it might have been better suited for the other painting discussion forum, but I bet we can adapt :)

It\'s looking really nice. I like the pale skin tones, however the legs seem to be a little too uniform in how pale it is, it might benefit with just a touch more color. (although it could just be the photo) Great looking face!

I think other than that, I\'ll look forward to seeing the finished version, since I have a feeling every part I want to comment on, is probably just not done yet :D

Keep it up, post us the finished version when it\'s...well...finished!

Other than the fact that her arms seem to be disproportionally short :D this is really looking good. Love the skintones and the face. THe straps and buckles are looking very nice. I\'m with Eric the Dark Maiden ;) can\'t wait to see the finished version.

Heh. I was looking at the photo this morning and I suddenly had the urge to knock her head off and attach the wings so that she would look like Winged Nike.

I usually paint 10mm figs, so painting a 72mm fig is something of a culture shock for me. Who would have thought that painting the tiniest figures would be easier than painting the biggest, but there you are...
