City fight Imperial Guard

Hi all I hope you are well !
I am trying to get a decent urban camouflage scheme together for my Guard and this is what I have come up with so far:

I am really looking for some advice on how I can make this look more urban so C & C most welcome!

The fabric areas look decent enough, but the needs to be turned to his left to get a better view.

Personally, I'm thinking more lighter colors on top of the darker ones, especially to break up the shoulder pad. Maybe keep the scheme you've got on the fabric, but then the lighter different one on the armor and helmet.

Again, little hard to see.

Thanks pegazus, I appreciate the feedback there. I might redo the scheme actually. I really wanted the armour vest and helmet to be black with the fabric grey but im really not sure about the camo scheme I have. I can't seem to find any guard on the web that appeal to me with urban camo actually - do you guys know of any ?

So, here's my nickels worth. Pattern looks ok, but in my experience the web gear is usually the base color of the uniform - not cammo patterned. If you're gonna do the carapace armor black, I'd do the ammo pouch, canteen cover, and knife sheath in the same color.

One other thing - if the pants have pockets, the pattern on the pockets will be different from the rest of the uniform - same colors, but not in sync with the rest as it were.

Looking good so far mate!

I think I agree with the other posters, hold back on the camo on the knife, water bottle and pouches. It might be interesting to give them a little bit of spot colour, maybe a small bit of red or yellow on the shoulder pad, just to break up all the grey's and white's.

Looking nice though!

Hey thanks PegaZus, they are still a WIP I have some detailing to do plus shading/highlighting but I am pretty happy with the camo scheme itself. The real challenge will be the next 60 Guardsmen and the 7 tanks I have lol. But this time, I mean it - I am painting an army if it kills me !

Looking good :D

just one thing, I painted my own imperial guard in a similar colourscheme (snow camo)
And I've found that the mini gets a more defined shape if you paint the shoulder pads differently.
I've just painted mine light grey with a white highlight.

I'd suggest you try out your base grey instead of the camo pattern.

wahey picked up some army builder razorwire this lunch time so going to use that as well on the bases ! I might start working on my warhound titan tonight too . . . .

Looking great man! I really like that camo pattern. I think Mourner might have a point about the camo though the shoulder pads are sort of blending in with the fabric.

Great work on the freehand symbols as well and the bases! Looking sweeeeet!
