clay shapers

I guess that means there\'s no decent art & crafts shop in Chesterfield. I even had to specifically order some paper a few years ago. They didn\'t have much in the way of variety. Of course, they like what I ordered and now stock it.

EDIT: Thanks for that link Matty. I was about to go looking for a decent pair of clippers to cut some brass rod.

@roger - those clipper are the badgers nadgers. really nice

as for clay shapers, i\'d have a look at whats available first at a painting shop to get a feel for what you want. i bought a few that i didn\'t need because i hadn\'t tested them to see how firm they were. also, you can get a clay shaper type thing really cheap. they sell them in the girly nail section at chemists/shops. thy are cuticle pushers i believe. about half the price of a clay shaper and just as good

GF9 has a good set, but I have made about half of mine from dowel and paper clips with a little superglue and GS to hold \'er steady.

On a side note, I knew this was david56\'s thread solely from the subject...

Well, that is a subjective answer. They work for me but my sculpting is still developing. Read: I think it sucks, but I like the tools.

Kudos for making your own sculpting tools but I think this thread is about the silicone-rubber tools like these (David?)
