CMON 4: another entry, with OSL - comments please!

Hi all

this is my take on the mantis figure and as everyone else has said - she\'s tiny.

Mantis by night

I\'m after opinions on the OSL - still like to do more to her (more torch reflections) but this is the one for the competition - time ran out.

First mini I painted in ages (and first non GW) - great fun

yup commented.............i was looking for some more reflections of the torch too. it looks good. hopefully there will be some other converted versions. my version was the first mini painted after GDUK and put it this way.....my eyes were not grateful ! looking forward toseeing them all up against each other.....good luck!

I used a little OSL on my submission too, check out Darth Mantis - not nearly as dramatic as yours but this is my first use of OSL ever :flip:

I think you did a great job! Even if you could have gone a little further on the light source reflections, you still have created a nice, dark atmosphere.

Astonia; yep - was very tempted to try more light reflections (the blade behind her back has some, but getting a good angle for the pic was problematical).

I used Victoria Lamb\'s light source article from the CMON annual for inspiration, and she says she didn\'t do reflections on her rescue dio, so if was good enough for her..........
