CMON Barbarian King (or what is that?)

I just got my packed from battlefield berlin and I with it came this rather cool looking Barbarian King model. This one:

Now the mini itself is a rather nice and I think will I paint it next. There is one thing that puzzles me though; what is that "thing" in his left chest? Is that somekind of a mutation or implanted part? It almost look like somekind of a crude implant with "chaotic" symbol/scar.

I'm thinking its some kind of terrible wound from some time back that has healed, albeit heavily scarred and mutilated. You can imagine it as a wound that very near killed him. I suppose thats how i'd look at it.

Yeah either that or some sort of sewn on shoulder pad? Hard to tell without more pics. Nice mini though

Hmm, I've got that mini, but haven't painted it yet. I'll look closer!
