In the light of Games Day UK, I realised that the day was waaaay too short..SO!
What does everyone think to aranging a CMoN meet over the space of a few days???
I think its a fantastic Idea since i thought of it ( I like a good thunk!)
What say you all???

Well it neds to be brainstormed but the ideas oput there. toss it around a bit! Maybe host countries for different meets ect...

Another option is to meet up for an afternoon into evening the day before Games Day? I live between Warwick & Leamington Spa, so could put up a couple of people for the night.

I like the idea of the meet. I have been to several Euro GT type events that are held in hotels in different countries and if organised correctly this could be a good event.

The idea being discussed at teh moment is a 2 day event.

Neil I like your idea of meeting up the day before I might take you on that if I can make it next year, I don\'t mind staying in the local travel lodge or places like that. Call to Arms is a 2 day event at GW HQ each year and normally everybody meets up on the Friday night for a good drink and a natter :D

Id be up for it, if even just a few people met up it would be great, because there going to be problems trying to get everyone in the same place at the same time.

*EDIT* How about Wallsend, Newcastle!!

And if I could some how combine it with a weekend away with my wife, my bits won\'t be lopped off for leaving her alone.

we cant go to nottingham really because for some it would be boring down to only liking painting. I recommend it be annual and hire out somewhere like a conference room, maybe a pub function room. Maybe a football stadium but just in one of the rooms.

I have been to simular types of events for gaming and the hotel used as the convention centre also did reduced rates for those that wanted to stay their. Obviously this would need to be a two day sort of affair.

Format along the lines of:

Arrive Friday or Saturday morning, Meet and chat paint game or what ever, Meal in the evening (possibly in hotel) and depending on country/type of convention centre/hotel bar provided during day as well. Then similar for the Sunday except evening when most people would be setting off back home.

Just a few thoughts, done this way it is also possible to game/paint as long as you wish and also try out different games or painting techneques from some of the better painters amongst members :D
