CMON UNITE II - HIDE AND SEEK!

Ah well, here\'s my effort. On reflection, I\'m not as happy with it as I could be, but given I painted the whole thing in a weekend, what can I expect? Photographing it was a :cussing: in the :cussing:, too.

The idea behind it is that the guy is being chased by the woman and she\'s finally tracked him down to this room in a derilict building. She\'s heard a noise and come to investigate while he\'s hiding behind the curtain ready to defend himself- it\'s too far to jump out the window. Outside it\'s a cold moonlit night, so I tried to show this by using space wolves gray to highlight all the colours on the guy cos he\'s standing next to a window. Unfortunately, it\'s almost impossible to tell! Move over waghorn, I reckon there\'s room for me in the top 20 too! lol

Sorry to hear that you couldn\'t finish it springbok, but I undestand that hospital visits are more important. Hopefully its nothing serious?

Post it up when you are finished? Would be interesting anway!

Thanks Jike, I was REALLY exited about entering this comp. but with everything that happened, the time just seemed to fly by.

Otherwise this competition is CLOSED. They hopefullly have some good reasons!

As it seems we only have 3 entries in time and 3 places. Looks like everyone who made it in time is a winner of some place.

Thanks! It was fun to make, and I\'m pleased with the dirty interior walls. I hope it\'s ok to have another figure on there, I couldn\'t see anything in the rules that said I couldn\'t. It would actually have really worked to use Rusty Alyce instead of the lil Copplestone dude, but I managed to resist!

First up congrats to my opponents for some great work, oh I am so not worthy to be here!

peteh - beautiful paintwork and nice base. My only crit is that without the preamble I couldn\'t work out the theme part; and even struggled to see the watch and the blood when I did read it. A higher frontal viewpoint would have made the perspective much better.

amazon warrior - sorry but you\'ve made the top 3, the top twenty is still my domain. Really like the through the window aspect you added. Great work on such a small base.

@waghorn - cheers for the comments. Yeah 100% agree with you on the photo not really giving the overall impression that I wanted, then again it was a kind of obscure take on the theme, but I just wanted to try something different. With hindsight I would have liked to have sculpted a rabbits behind vanishing down the hole, but didn\'t have time. As for your entry can we get some close ups and regarding your comment about not being worthy, I disagree as you finished your entry and you posted it, so therefore you are worthy!

@amazon warrior - really like the base and the amount of detail in there from the broken window, the snow on the wall, the OSL and the corrosion on the wall. Impressed you managed to cram all that in there

Cheers, guys! Well, on my most recent CMON submission, everyone said the base was really bare, so I was determined that that wouldn\'t be the case this time!

@peteh: That\'s some cracking painting, and a nice base, although I agree, it\'s a bit obscure! I didn\'t spot the pocket watch until the second time I looked at it.

@waghorn: I agree with peteh, you actually managed to start, finish and post, so you do deserve to be here! I think the quality of your pictures is letting you down here- they\'re rather blurry. Clearer pictures and a few close-ups would work wonders!

I agree with others. Don\'t say you are not worthy. You completed a job in time, many others couldn\'t. OF course there\'s room for improvement and perhaps the price you\'ll get will give you energy and support!

And yip, perhaps you could upload some better photos? Its kind of difficult for honest judging,
