people actually drink pepsi?!! doesn't coke outsell pepsi 7:1 on something like that?
Oh it's nothing like that big a lead. In the US Coca-Cola's market share is something like 17%, for 7:1 to be right Pepsi's would have to be 2.4% (it's actually about 10%, close to tied with Diet Coke). Wordwide figures are hard to come by but Coke does consistently outsell Pepsi nearly everywhere.

I miss Root Beer Einion. McDonalds used to sell it & I could find beige cans of A&w in the odd newsagents but nowadays it doesn't seem to be about. Morrisons do stock one, along with a ginger beer, that's all pretend fancy but at 99p for a tiny glass bottle it's a bit of a luxury treat. I did find a 2 litre bottle in a supermarket a couple of years ago but it was stuffed full of artificial sweetner so I didn't buy it :(
Was impossible to get here until recent years when some new Chinese supermarkets sprang up and one or two of them stock it (sporadically).

On the rare occasion I feel the need to drink a soda of some kind, it's a Coke. But in the last year I may have had 10.

I'm a coffee, tea, and water kind of guy. And Mojitos.

IRN BRU.
I was introduced to the stuff by a visiting scotsman, and now regularly go out of my way to track the stuff down at specialized importers.

If I could rep BSPs comment right now, I so would. IRN BRU is quite possibly the only reason Aliens have any interest in our planet.
