color scheme for grey knights?

Hey all,
i need a color scheme for my grey knights and i don\'t want to use GW\'s. I always have this problem when i get a new mini. help me!

The armour looks cool, but the Yellow-Red lettering and Shiled that looks like the sweedish flag turns me off

White might be a good color. That is what I was going to paint mine but then i succumbed to just plaing Mitheral Silver.

Anyone remember the Grey knight showed up in WD with a sleek, black look, kinda like the Deathwatch? I\'m pretty sure any color would work with that. (maybe the Dark Grey Knights?)

Ooo - if you really want to do something difficult and time consuming, do a tartan pattern on them - they would certainly stand out on any battlefield.

I saw a photo of a very nice Grand Master cinversion in the previous issue of WD, with the head from a Missionary and the hammer from Coteaz... It was painted silver (couldn\'t quite tell if it was grey or actual silver though...) and a deep, purplish red... Looked damn nice to me...
If you want to go completely OTT, you could always paint them to look like their armour\'s a greyish marble... just for the hell of it...

The Swedish flag is a yellow cross over a blue background

Why not try painting with white and detailing with dark red?

I think he meant the Swiss flag. The English flag is red blue and whte with a sort of ex behind the cross.

The BRITISH flag is red white and blue, the English flag is just red and white!

Isn\'t the swiss flag a white cross on ared background ? ( i\'ve just check cos I wasn\'t sure) .
the flag of england is the cross of St George white with the red cross as Alex rightly says.
