color scheme for grey knights?

My husband has been racking his brain (and mine too) for ideas on a DIFFERENT paint scheme for grey knights. Of course it has to be in keeping with their station and strength, but the silver and gold is just too gaudy for our taste.

HELP! please.

I think it fits pretty nicely but do a search and you\'ll find another thread with the same topic. But I\'ve seen good looking ones that were purple, by this Icelandic guy who made this.. http://www.coolminiornot.com/30060 It\'s from his army. Black and red is also good.

I\'m a medieval nut, so check out some museum web sites for armor. The Museum of Fine Arts in Boston has good japanese armor that is often black with red or gold trim and looks very regal.
The Metropolitan in NYC has nice german armor that is also black with gold detailing.
