So I was thinking last night as I was painting an evil suns orc warboss, that I really hate painting red. Are their any colors that you guys just don\'t want to deal with? Do you have any favorite colors to use? My favorite color to use is definitely graveyard earth. I don\'t know why, its just nice.

get used to clour theory mate, every colour is easy after that.

I have to disagree to it as a general statement (even if I know what you mean). It depends how the colour is made. Certain colours are easier to work with and blend then others.

The Grave yard eath - khaki - bleached bone combination is easy to work with for example.

My least favourite colours: Foundation orkhide shade or what it\'s called. Can someone spell to separation? ;) Nice colour to it though.. I guess that\'s why I am even more annoyed with it.

Favourite colour: Perhaps Vallejo Ivory as it goes on well and is a light colour that can replace white Vallejo pale bluegrey is used in a similar way for colder highlights. VMC German camo black brown is a great shading colour. Along with VMC chocolate it replaced my Scorched brown needs.

I love painting reds

I generally think white is the only colour I find difficult to paint (tricky is probably more accurate) and would tend to shy away from if poss; yellow used to be too but now not so much.

Favourite colour to paint? Can\'t really say but maybe between turquoise and blue.

I\'ve seen you mention this before, so may I ask a possibly impertinent question? How do you know it\'s red? I\'m always fascinated by colour-blindness, fo some reason, but don\'t feel you have to answer.

To answer the OP, my least favourite colours to paint are yellow and orange, simply because it\'s so hard to get good coverage and blends with them. Unfortunately, one of my current projects involves a fair bit of orange. Damn! lol White\'s not a great problem- for this I am a huge fan of Spacewolf grey->white for cold tones and Bleached bone->white for warm tones.

Hate white. Problem is...I love the look of whites on a model so it becomes a necessary evil.

I\'m cool with reds, but my favorites have to be blues.

red is one of my favorite colours to work with...the introduction of P3 paints has made it a lot easier to get quality results...
they cover so much better than gw reds...

white is a lot of work, but well worth the effort...

yellow is a pain, but P3 has made life easier here too...

i\'m definitely not a fan of orange, but that\'s just \'cause it\'s my least favorite colour...right up there with pink...

green is my favorite, especially the dark angel\'s-snot green combo, followed closely by the shadow-space wolves grey combo...

cheers

True blues annoy me. I often find them a challenge to get smooth highlights on, and I think the fact that I\'m not that keen on the colour doesn\'t help. Teal blues, slate blues, those I like better.
