I know, I\'m just on another of those guys who can\'t get their commentary otherwise.
But please add some comments on this mini. Cos\' I really want to paint this mini further(yes, it\'s a WIP, so what?), but first I want to have a skin that suits me just perfectly (the skin covers about 90% of the mini, so it\'s the most important part). I\'ll be gratefull for any reference(but that doesn\'t mean the insult button is on, so please, stay correct).

hmm...

.. ok first the pic is not so sharp thats make comments on this mini difficult. better pic would be helpfull.
the skin fits nearly perfect to the mini IMO a bit more dwarf flesh could be but isn`t a must I can`t see it exactly if its the pic or the mini but try to smooth the blending of the skintones a bit more.

Yeah, true, the pic is a bit unsharp and the highlights are a tad to harsh, but that not the thing I was asking about.(but still thanks) I\'ve only posted this mini for the color of the skin. I did the skin in a kinda rush-job(as the same for the photo quality).
So actually all i wanna know is about the colors of the skin. I am currently in a phase of experimentating with undead skins, so I posted this one to know what this \'muscle\' undead skin color, was someting and if it would fit this mini.

I have posted a comment, but it wont appear for a while. I am a bit confused however. Do you want a lava effect to the skin or a flayed, undead look. On your post you mention lava, but now you mention undead. What is the exact effect you are trying to achieve?

Personally, I would try and work it out the other way round. Paint the skin type I really had in mind and liked and then try and adjust my base to suit. It is easier to paint up two or three bases and experiment than it is to mess about with your miniature.
Admittedly there isn\'t a vast amount of variation with lava, but there is probably enough room for some experimentation?

Ahem...back to the topic.

Your pic is definitely very blur. Sorry it is very difficult to comment on something that you can\'t see clearly. Anyways, i\'ll try my best.

Firstly, ain\'t Grimgor the Orc Warlord in GW?!?

Secondly, er...is the other part of the face completed? It does know grim (if that\'s your intent) but somehow a tad messy.

Thirdly, the colours don\'t stand out very well. Maybe the eyes should really glow or something. Check out Jenova complementary colour wheel. Really good.

Well, didn\'t you read all of the other replies yet mouse? I\'ve already said it and I\'m going to say it again, I don\'t care about the paintjob/picture quality, I care about the colors! Cos\' like I said I\'m only experimentating with the colors not with blending, so I did it a bit messy...
And yes your right, maybe green eyes (as a complementary color) would look better with the red skin. But wait, maybe I could also give him a green skin?:idea:
