Commisar

I recently got a Death Korps of Kreig commisar (spelling?) and have been debating between two color schemes.
Option 1:
Generally blue and gold with maybe some red
Option 2:
Mostly black with some very dark grey and brown with a bright green spot color.

What do you think? Oh and if you want reference its the same commisar as in Mourner\'s WIP. Thanks

i\'d say option two.
simply because i prefer darker schemes with hints of bright colors.

Fluff wise, i\'d go for a dark look. Comissars tend to wear dark (black) leather stormcoats over their regimental uniforms (i think).

But then again, I had been considering to paint mine something really bright too, something like (off)white, or bright red.

in the end, i decided on a mix of the two. the fact that the uniform itself is only visible from a limited angle lends itself perfectly to a dark-bright contrast.
you\'ll have mostly dark model with a really eyecatching front.

but then again, that\'s my view, and incidentaly pretty much how i painted mine.....

by the way, keep in mind that we still have a paint-off challenge that should start any day now.... :bouncy:

I\'ve gone with the dark scheme.
@Mourner- at the pace I\'m working, I\'ll probably finish the commisar before the challenge starts!

The darker look imo is more fitting, Im working on DKOK Comm also right now, the drawing sword pose (have the other one too but haven\'t touched yet)

I went for black overcoat with deep red inside and gold trim, dark grey uniform with brown leather boots and gloves.
