Commision price

prices vary from painter to painter. It depends of lots of factors. what kind of standard what colours what the actual miniatures are etc.. I even think its depends on if the painter does it for a living or not. Your question is a little vague. If you had more information maybe someone would be able to give you a quote.

I think you need to put what figures they are and what the size of the squad is, and also what standard would you like them at? Tabletop? Display? Or Competition/Golden Demon.

Plus what are you willing to pay, that could help people set a standard.

okay, here is a more specific version; 4 eldar harlequins (including shadow seer with harlequin\'s kiss), unpainted, diplay quality. Is that specific enough???

Expect to pay anywhere between £40-80 per figure depending on the amount of patterning you want on these Harlequins.

EDIT: I\'ve just reread your amendment you are saying Unpainted.
If you mean for someone to sculpt these Expect £200-300 per figure for display quality 28mm figures.
If you want them casting up better have a couple of grand to hand.

Granddad!
yep that\'d be about right...

are you cleaning and assembling/basing or are you wanting that done by the painter

That I can do by my self. So, what can I do to cut down the price?

Get lesser quality paintjobs i suppose?

You could name a price then the painter could paint to the level they see fit for that price.

Ahhh, sorry i thought you meant a paint job, and you were suppling the minis unpainted. Not that you wanted them unpainted. My fault.

good, but i\'m looking for conversions, not paint jobs.
In essence nothing. You will be paying for the quality of the work carried out. Anyone with broken fingers can carry out a conversion, but a Conversion which will include uniqueness, a sense of proportion and be compatible with the Harlequins to a display level will still require effort on behalf of the person carrying out the work.
If you want to pay peanuts you will get monkeys.
You have to realise that there is more to doing this as a Commission than just love of the hobby. There are professional painters/modellers who use this medium to make a living. Anyone who charged less than the figure I quoted above for Conversion work only is doing themselves a dis-service.

This may be my new business slogan.
Ladies and gentlemen, I am that monkey.

In other news, my coworkers and I have decided on a new unofficial slogan for the university... \"Persevero Fossura\" ... \"keep digging\"
