Commisioned a painting

Ello everyone!

A few weeks ago I commisioned a painting to put in my living room. I asked for a view from Charing Cross Bridge in London, done in an impressionist style.

Today I got an email with this picture - what do you think?

I\'d say it is moody and evocative.

But I dont really know that much about stuff.

Still, I like it. Alot.

Will you pick up on colors to redecorate your living room?

I have neutral coloured walls already to let the focus go on the picture. I am waiting for it to arrive before I pick a rug and curtains though.

Can\'t wait to see it for real!!!

It\'ll be spot-on with neutral coloured walls. A real eye-puller. Will warm up your room beautifully. Nice one!

Like it aplenty, but it leaves me feeling rather more-ish.

More-ish?

You want to see more or it reminds you of food and you fancy a fruit salad or something!!

You saw where I got my inspiration from then :D

I wanted a modern version of his paintings indeed :flip:

It\'s well executed, kinda Turnerish, what is it 2\' by 3\'?
Horribly indiscreet question, won\'t be surprised if you don\'t answer, but my curiosity gets the better of me, what did you pay?
(I paint on commission here in Spain, I dunno who the painter is or if he has any kind of rep, i don\'t but I\'d like to compare.)

Haven\'t received it yet, got to wait about a week before it is dry enough to transport (done in oils).

As for how much it cost, it was £600. It is done by a guy called Ken Bushe. He has a website if you want to look at the other stuff he has done. He has done private commisions, and some for hospitals and places like that.
